Retro Jordan is going stealth mode with their latest Air Jordan 33 release that comes dressed in a Black, White, and Dark Grey color scheme. Its translucent outsole unit supports a monochromatic upper that subtly welcomes an elephant print on its heel area. The sneaker’s pull cord matches the rest of the upper in black with its release cable adding a few drops of yellow for some contrast. To close things out, the “Utility Blackout” edition is topped off with a Jumpman logo on the exposed tongue and a throwback Nike Air stamp on the heel.
The Air Jordan 33 subversive styling is very different from the previous Jordan dynasty. The overall shape reveals an exaggerated sense of future technology, while the details of the body have a bit of functional style. Inspired by the spacesuit, the main color scheme of the shoe is decorated with black and red accents to pay tribute to the brand’s traditional colors, while a touch of gold on the shoe highlights its elegance. FlightSpeed technology creates explosive performance and comfort. The lightweight fabric upper is finished with leather and synthetic cladding for a powerful support while creating a lightweight wear experience.
Being one of the few newcomers to the Jordans 2019 Cheap line-up, the Air Jordan 33 is a technical feat worthy of the courts and the streets in every regard. Following the release of its “Visible Utility” colorway, the “Utility Blackout” closes out the year strong in its blacked out representation of the future-ready model. With many accents of the upper modified for a more stealth-themed rendition, few hits bear color aside from the icy blue outsole and hazard patterned cord along the medial side. Black covers the mesh upper, suede overlays, FastFit lacing cables, midsole, and elephant print leather wrapping the heel. The Jumpman branding on the tongue and Nike Air hit on the heel utilize dark grey for a subtle contrast. Yellow is found on the “eject” cord on the medial side of each shoe to give the pair a splash of color. This blacked-out offering sits atop an icy outsole.
