Starting today, Nike Shoes is teaming up with colette to giveaway the last 30 pairs known to exist of the colette x Air Jordan 1. The sneaker features the “Bonjour” printed on the left sole along with the debossed “1997” at the heel represents the beginning of colette’s legacy according to withsneaker.com. The shoe was originally released exclusively to Friends & Family of collete as a gift from Jordan Brand for supporting the protection of our oceans. Also the the “Au Revoir” on the right sole with the debosed “2017” symbolizes their farewell to colette.
Back in 2013, 2019 Jordan released the Air Jordan 5 “Bel-Air” inspired by the classic ’90s TV show the Fresh Prince of Bel-Air starring Will Smith, who rocked the Air Jordan 5s during the shows theme song and in early episodes. This release was also a tribute to Will Smith and the iconic sitcom “Fresh Prince of Bel-Air”. In the early episodes you could see Will wearing original colorways of the Air Jordan 5 and as a tribute, Jordan Brand dropped the “Bel-Air” edition that features the same colors from the shows logo.
New Air Jordans 2019 will be celebrating Micheal Jordan’s earliest days with an upcoming “New Beginnings” Pack that consists of the 1984 Nike Air Ship PE and the 1985 Air Jordan 1 in its original high-top form. The Air Jordan 1 will release in a new Red/White colorway with the OG-style hangtag. Both pairs are housed in an oversized box that’s split in Blue/White with a grid pattern and classic Black/Red completed with its corresponding years. The Nike Air Ship features a White leather upper paired with Red accents on the collar, interior, Swoosh logos and rubber outsole.
