Jordan Release 2020, Virgil Abloh is set to release not one, but two Off-White x Air Jordan 5 colorways for the models 30th Anniversary in 2020. Ahead of All-Star Weekend in Chicago, the Windy City native recreated a classic which led to the OFF-WHITE x Air Jordan 5 as an ode to Jordan and the impact he had on the city. One pair is inspired by the OG “Metallic” Air Jordan 5, and the other, shown here, nods to the original “Fire Red” release. This Air Jordan 5 features a Sail upper, 3M reflective tongues, Black midsole with Fire Red overlays atop an aged translucent outsole.
The Air Jordan 5 shoe will arrive in a cream and fire red creation this time around, according to ZSneakerHeadz. A yellowed outsole also accompanies the shoe as the shoe features an aged aesthetic. Much like its predecessor, the “Sail” serves up a stripped-back upper that removes the puffy padding from the collar for a more trim look. This top half is built of a yellowed TPE-like material, a synthetic textile that simultaneously nods to the AJ5’s 30-year legacy and its future. As is par for the course with Abloh’s Jordan collaborations, the medial quarter is swathed in bold Helvetica text. Its tri-colored ribbon on the lateral and tongue with mismatched insoles atop a White midsole and Navy rubber outsole completes the design.

The shoe features a Black ripstop base with no-sew overlays, neoprene-like inner sleeve, and its high-tech 1-pull lacing system. Other details includes the Quai multicolored pattern throughout with Quai 54 logo embroidered on the heels. This Jordan Delta features a Blue-based upper paired with Crimson accents, Grey overlays with multicolored speckles atop muted Volt rubber sole. A pastel Purple rubber sole with a Jumpman logo wearing the “Black Toe” Air Jordan 1s completes the design. The pair also comes housed in a matte-black hard case.
