New Air Jordans 2019 started to launch a Satin series which they will expand in the coming months. What started on the Air Jordan 1, the Air Jordan 5 Satin will be available part of Jordan Brand’s 2018 Holiday Collection. Dressed in a Black and University Red color scheme. This Air Jordan 5 features a Black Satin upper with Red accents. 3M Reflective tongues and an icy outsole completes the design.
Air Jordan 5, The “Satin” Jordan 5s—a prototype colorway from 1990 that never saw a release—prominently features the Jumpman’s classic color combination of black and red that’s been used on everything from the Jordan 4 to the Jordan 11. Those details complement an upper built entirely in black satin, with contrasting pops of University Red on the Jumpman logo and midsole to complete the classic Bred color scheme. A luxury black satin upper sits on top of the Jordan 5’s P-51 Mustang-inspired two-tone speckled red and black midsole. Accents are provided by a 3M tongue with a red embroidered Jumpman, tonal black Jumpman detailing on the heel, and a translucent outsole.
For 2019, the BHM Collection is highlighted by Nike, Retro Jordan and Converse silhouettes inspired by an assortment of national African patterns, brought together onto modernized prints in a theme of Afro-futurism in sport. Nike release in first Black History Month release, a limited-edition Air Force 1, in 2005. Since then, it has been a yearly tradition, each celebrating African American heritage and a more inclusive world for all athletes.
