Tinker Hatfield’s original sketch of the Air Jordan 3, known as the Air Jordan 3 Tinker, will be returning in new colorways throughout 2019. This hybrid iteration of the Air Jordan 3 comes covered in a White tumbled leather throughout the majority of the upper while a bold University Red has been added on the suede mudguard which is not covered in elephant print this time around. More University Red can then be seen on the upper eyelets, the Jumpman branding on the tongues, the inner tongues, and the OG Nike Air branding on the heels. The shoe also comes with a removable white leather Swoosh on the lateral side panel. A white midsole and Neutral Grey outsole with white, black and red hits wrap things up.
Having made its debut last year to celebrate the 30th anniversary of the Air Jordan 3, Jordans 2019 Cheap will continue giving us new colorways of the Air Jordan 3 Tinker in 2019. Tinker Hatfield is a legend when it comes to sneaker design. While it may seem unthinkable now, Nike was at risk of losing Michael Jordan. The NBA legend wasn’t happy with the brand anymore and after the lackluster Air Jordan 2, MJ was about to move on. Other key details include a full suede material in place of the elephant print, while a red lettering on the Nike Air heel logo harken back to the original “Fire Red” colorway from 1988 (and still the only original colorway that hasn’t returned with the heralded Nike Air).
2019 Jordan is dressing up their Air Jordan 1 Mid in the brands popular Black, Grey, and Red color combo. This release sports a Black nubuck upper with Grey leather Swoosh logos on the sides, ankle collar and inner lining. Red is used on the outline of the Swoosh, tongue labels, and insoles completed with a White midsole and Grey rubber outsole.
