New Jordans Retro, The Air Jordan 1 “Rebellionaire” will be releasing in 2022 inspired by the original “Banned” Air Jordan 1 commercial (although the true banned model was the Air Ship). The “Rebellionaire” Air Jordan 1 High OG is a tribute to the original “Banned” Air Jordan commercial. In the commercial, the narrator is heard saying, ‘Fortunately, the NBA can’t stop you from wearing them’. Dressed in a mix of Black, White, and Particle Grey resembling the classic “Shadow” colorway. This Air Jordan 1 is detailed with an upper covered in text that reads “They can’t stop you from wearing them,” referencing the commercial, and the iconic Red “X” returns on the heels. A White midsole atop a Grey rubber outsole completes the design.
2020 Jordans, Dubbed, “Rebellionaire” as a nod to Jordan Brand’s way of saying Michael Jordan was a rebel by wearing the “Banned” AJ1s even though the NBA fined him $5,000 each game. Nike ended up paying the fines as MJ continued to wear the shoes. This “Flax” edition of the Supreme x Nike Air Force 1 Low features a full Wheat-colored upper paired with boot-styled laces and metal upper eyelets. Supreme branding on the heels and insoles atop a Gum rubber sole completes the design.
