New Air Jordans 2019 is set to launch a Michigan Wolverines-inspired colorway of the Air Jordan 5. Much like past “Michigan” Jordan model releases, this AJ5 sees the same hues of Amarillo with College Navy, except the colors are reversed as Amarillo makes up the majority of the uppers. This upcoming version, which does not feature the school’s M logo on the tongue, does make use of an apparel patch that is typically seen on the player jerseys as well as “Inspire” on the label inside the tongue.
This Air Jordan 5 is further elevated by use of premium materials for the uppers, all contrasted with a speckled midsole and icy-blue outsole bottom. Two global sports icons known for a tradition of hard work, excellence, and innovation have delivered some must-have footwear with the unmistakeable yellow and navy, although the Air Jordan 5 has only appeared as Player Exclusives made just for the athletes. As this is an unofficial Michigan colorway, the famous “M” logo has been removed from the lateral side of the heel, but in place are a number of other new details. A tonal Jumpman logo can be found at the tongue, while “INSPIRE” is written on the underside of the tongue, and a Jordan team jock tab replaces the customary Jumpman at the heel.
2019 Jordan continues its “The Force Is Female” series, which champions women who break the rules, take risks and shake up the status quo in their own unique, powerful way, with two color options of the Air Force 1 High Utility. One pair comes dressed in a Multi-Color color blocking, while the other sports a mix of Echo Pink/Sail. Both pairs come constructed with leather uppers, thick laces, heavy-duty eyelets, dual heel pull tab, highlighted wit an ankle strap that reads “FORCE” and “FEMALE” when closed and opened, respectively.
