With Air Max 270, Halloween is just around the corner, which means Nike is already gearing up for the spooky season with a new range of holiday-themed silhouettes. As a follow up to 2019’s “Night of Mischief” release, Nike SB will be releasing another Halloween-themed edition of the Dunk Low inspired by the ancient mummy. On deck for Halloween 2021, this Dunk features frayed, tear-away canvas construction that mimics mummy wraps and opens to reveal eye embroidery on the heels.
The upcoming Nike SB Dunk Low “Mummy” mimics an actual mummy and features a tear-away upper dressed in hues of “Coconut Milk,” “Seafoam” and “Yellow.” Underneath, a bluish turquoise, matching the Swoosh insignias, is hidden away. Additional details include Seafoam Swooshes, spider embroidery on the left toe, Eye of Horus graphics on the backside of the tongues, and custom insoles. A glow-in-the-dark outsole brings the theme home.
Collaborating with Patta, this special Nike Air Max 1 is inspired by the authentic connection between the Amsterdam-based brand and its community. The pair features a predominately “Metallic Silver” and “Pure Platinum” base accented with contrasting hits of “Monarch”. The “Metallic Silver” mesh base with “Pure Platinum” leather overlays makes the majority of the sneaker, while a burnt orange called “Monarch” is utilized on the mudguard and heel overlay with a wavy cut compared to the rounded look typically seen on the Air Max 1. The Swoosh comes in “Monarch” as well with a cream midsole and “Monarch” seen again on the outsole.
