The Air Jordan 13 Retro GS Playground may just seem to appear as a shoe made with numerous colorful tones to channel a youthful, perhaps even a Chuck E. Cheese ball pit vibe, but if you notice the distinct color combinations, the underlying theme could be slightly deeper. It’s main two-toned accented blends of yellow and green on the right foot, and purple and orange on the left translate exact team colors of the Seattle Supersonics and Phoenix Suns, which can possibly serve as a nod to the battles Michael Jordan endured on the hardwood in his heyday against superstars such as Gary Payton and Charles Barkley.
The iconic Air Jordan 13 was famously designed by Tinker Hatfield in 1997.The Air Jordan 13 Lucky Green was inspired by the predatory nature of a panther. This “Lucky Green” colorway features similar color-blocking to the highly sought after Ray Allen 13 PEs.The upper combines white tumbled leather with green synthetic suede, supported underfoot by the silhouette’s signature panther paw outsole in black rubber. Branding hits include a green embroidered Jumpman atop the tongue, matching the circular hologram on the lateral ankle.
The Nike Blazer Mid ’77 Shanghai colorways come with dual Swoosh logos in bright shades, ‘Shanghai’ branding on the tongue and insoles. Furthermore, both have leather on the upper, suede on the overlays, and a mesh padded tongue. Highlighting the two is the latitude, and longitude digits for the city are stamped on the lateral midsole. Lastly, the two have a translucent outsole.
