Nike Shoes has officially unveiled LeBron James’ LeBron 16, which will debut in a “Fresh Bred” colorway. For the design, King James has once again teamed up with Nike Jason Petrie. Its structure increases tensile strength (important to contain James’s lateral force on court) and it has an elegant finish matching James’s current style. Other notable feature is its height as the lower collar allows LeBron (snd you) to move more freely. The new gusseted leather tongue allows for seamless entry into the shoe and for broader styling choices off court. A new detail explained on the shoe are the Red eyes on the heel lion emblems inspired by the iconic stare down by King James vs. Boston.
The Nike LeBron 16 was designed by LeBron James and Jason Petrie. “The knit team at Nike are geniuses,” says Petrie. “I don’t use that term lightly. They are mathematical artists and have created a new knit for the 16 that is strong enough to contain LeBron and successfully reduces any layers in the overall build that could slow him down.” The full-length Zoom cushioning unit from the LeBron 15 returns — slightly modified to work with new, more supportive outriggers — and the outsole boasts a red Dunkman logo on the heel, a classic embellishment that dates all the way back to LeBron’s first signature shoe in 2003, the Nike Zoom Generation.
adidas Originals will be releasing an upcoming adidas NMD R1 that resembles the classic Air Jordan 4 “Thunder” release from 2012. This adidas NMD features a Black soft mesh upper paired with Silver Three Stripes on the side as well as a Yellow stripe near the toe area. Yellow EVA insert overlays atop a White Boost midsole and Black rubber outsole completes the design.
