Kyrie Irving and Retro Jordan will be celebrating Chinese New Year 2020 with not one, but two special Kyrie 6 colorways. Nike Basketball and Kyrie Irving will be paying tribute to Michael Jordan’s Chicago Bulls’ 1996 championship with a commemorative Kyrie 6 for NBA All-Star Weekend in Chicago. This rendition of the Nike Kyrie 6 “Chinese New Year” sports vibrant Yellow leather on the tongue and rear atop a matching colorful outsole. It features a festive collage print on its forefoot paired with Purple laces, a translucent midfoot strap covered in Kyrie’s Seeing Eye logo.
This offering of the Nike Kyrie 6 features a Red base paired with Gold and Black detailing throughout atop a speckled translucent outsole. The collection is inspired by designs form a pattern reminiscent of Yuxian paper-cutting, which involves using scissors and knifes to turn brightly-colored rice paper into images of animals, flowers, landscapes and folkloric figures. Completing the design is a graphic inner lining pattern resembling the carpet that MJ laid on crying after winning his first NBA title after losing his father.
This “Bruce Lee” offering of the Jordans 2019 Cheap sports the classic color combination of Red, Black, and Yellow. Nike Basketball and Kyrie Irving will be continuing its “Bruce Lee” series with the superstars latest signature shoe, the Kyrie 6. It features a Red-based upper paired with Black detailing and Yellow contrasting accents throughout. Highlighting the shoe is its signature scratch marks embellished on ankle heel area intertwined with the Swoosh logo.
